Metropolis of New Jersey Philoptochos President Eleni Constantinides Christmas Greetings

GREEK ORTHODOX METROPOLIS OF NEW JERSEY
GREEK ORTHODOX LADIES PHILOPTOCHOS SOCIETY

For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. His authority shall grow continually, and there shall be endless peace for the throne of David and his kingdom. He will establish and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. Isaiah 9:6-7

Beloved Metropolis Board Members, Chapter Presidents and Philoptochos Sisters,
I greet you with love in the name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
This is a most wonderful and busy time of the year when we are preparing to celebrate the Miracle of Jesus’ Birth with family and friends. It is time to reflect on the blessings that have come to each and every one of us through this Miracle.
On behalf of the Metropolis of New Jersey Philoptochos Board of Directors I extend my deepest gratitude, love and admiration to all of you for the amazing work that you do. Life continues to be challenging for many. The Virus never left and it seems that it is coming back again in a different form. We pray for your love and compassion to abound as we walk through this challenging time together.
Let us celebrate the Christmas Miracle while thinking about the needs of others and let us be thankful for the blessings that have been bestowed bestowed upon us.
The Metropolis of New Jersey Philoptochos thanks all of you for your dedication, your selflessness, your compassion and perseverance through all the challenges that we faced. It is our fervent prayer that you will continue to open your hearts to those who are struggling. As you give of yourself you will truly feel the blessings of the Gift of the Nativity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now and throughout the New Year. May Christmas bring tranquility to your soul. Where there is a need let us pray for abundance, where there is a disease, let us pray for health, where there are fears let us pray for courage, where there is hatred let us pray for love and happiness.
Christmas is the time of the year we spend with family and friends. It is the time of the year when we create happy memories that will last a lifetime.
I pray that this season fills you with faith, renewed hope and good health.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
With love in Christ,
Eleni Constantinides, President
Metropolis of New Jersey Philoptochos
